You will be at the forefront of our daily coverage, responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and insightful reporting on the economy, markets, and key industries to a national audience from our central Oslo office.
As a Desk Reporter, you are not just writing news; you are documenting the pulse of the Norwegian economy. Your role is pivotal in identifying, writing, and publishing breaking stories that inform and engage our wide readership. This position requires someone who is quick, precise, and possesses a keen nose for news, primarily working during the day with some scheduled weekend shifts to ensure we are always the first to deliver crucial business and financial updates. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of being the most trusted source for economic news in Norway.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor financial markets, press releases, and diverse news sources to identify breaking stories.
Write and publish accurate, high-quality news articles under tight deadlines, demonstrating speed and accuracy without sacrificing quality.
Collaborate effectively with photographers, editors, and other reporters on comprehensive news packages.
Utilize our content management system and other digital tools for efficient online publishing and live updates, showcasing strong digital savvy.
Consistently uphold E24's strict ethical and journalistic standards, including adherence to Vær Varsom-plakaten, maintaining an ethical foundation in all reporting.
